Most big cryptocurrencies rise as Ethereum rallies

Most of the largest cryptocurrencies were up during morning trading on Friday, with Ethereum ETHUSD seeing the biggest change, climbing 4.95% to $1,061.71.

Seven additional currencies posted upswings Friday. Dogecoin DOGEUSD rallied 4.40% to 7 cents, and Bitcoin BTCUSD rose 4.03% to $19,485.96.

Cardano ADAUSD increased 2.17% to 45 cents, while Uniswap UNIUSD rallied 2.16% to $4.88. Bitcoin Cash BCHUSD increased 1.15% to $100.83.

Polkadot DOTUSD and Litecoin LTCUSD rounded out the increases for Friday, with gains of 1.15% to $6.78 and 0.41% to $51.23, respectively.

On the other hand, Ripple XRPUSD posted the only drop, falling 0.64% to 31 cents.

In crypto-related company news, shares of Coinbase Global Inc. COIN rallied 6.25% to $49.96, while MicroStrategy Inc. MSTR climbed 3.86% to $170.65. Riot Blockchain Inc. RIOT shares increased 3.82% to $4.35, and shares of Marathon Digital Holdings Inc. MARA climbed 6.20% to $5.67.

Overstock.com Inc. OSTK increased 5.12% to $26.29, while Block Inc. SQ climbed 5.42% to $64.79 and Tesla Inc. TSLA rose 2.44% to $689.87.

PayPal Holdings Inc. PYPL rose 2.40% to $71.52, and Ebang International Holdings Inc. Cl A EBON shares rallied 5.94% to 42 cents. NVIDIA Corp. NVDA declined 1.28% to $149.65, and Advanced Micro Devices Inc. AMD shed 2.40% to $74.85.

In the fund space, the Bitwise Crypto Industry Innovators ETF BITQ, which is focused on pure-play crypto companies, increased 2.52% to $5.69. Blockchain-focused Amplify Transformational Data Sharing ETF BLOK rose 1.54% to $18.41. Grayscale Bitcoin Trust GBTC, which tracks the Bitcoin market price, increased 3.15% to $12.44.
