Harga emas naik pada awal perdagangan sesi AS hari Kamis karena melemahnya dollar AS dan karena koreksi naik secara normal setelah terus mengalami tekanan jual belakangan ini. Selain itu naiknya harga minyak mentah memberikan dukungan tambahan bagi kenaikan harga emas. Emas berjangka kontrak bulan Oktober naik $14.90 ke $1,644.80 per troy ons. Sementara perak berjangka Comex bulan Desember naik $0.296 ke $18.66 per ons.
